Pernod Ricard announces its best performance this year in India. Its Whiskies Royal Stag, Imperial Blue and Blenders Pride’s 100 Pipers scotch and vodka Fuel is produced locally. These are drinks produced little known outside the Indian market due to the fact what are specially manufactured for this market. Pernod Ricard has not actually expanded its regular brands like Martell Cognac, Absolut Vodka’s, the rum, Havana Club, Ballantine’s Scotch whiskeys’s or Jameson and Chivas, because the import of this continent is very complicated. The customs duty, more than substantial, growing foreign brands to developing their own brands on the spot. For this reason 99% of spirits sold in India are locally produced. Since 2001 the year the group Pernod Ricard has been present in India through the acquisition of the Seagram group, it grew to 25% of its sales and expects to double that figure over the next four years. India is already part of the top 5 markets in the company Pernod Ricard of France, Spain, the United States and China.
The development of the French group is around a marketing pronounced (DVD, music compilation, advertising, evenings). In fact, the derivatives are the spearheads of the mark in the fight against other manufacturers who already use these marketing means.
