The Drops of God is a popular manga about wine written by Tadashi Agi and illustrated by Shu Okimoto. It is published for the first time in November 2004 in the Weekly Morning, a magazine for pre-publication of manga, and continues to appear. The manga has been recognized as “Best Book of the wine world” at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards 2009. But the magazine wine France has also put forward this Manga Drops of God by offering him the Special Prize of 2010 awarded in January as part of the Grands Prix of the Revue du Vin de France, electing ” Ten Men Wine 2010.
History: Shizuku Kanzaki is the son of world-renowned winemaker, Yutaka Kanzaki, recently deceased owner and a collection of highly prized wines. In his will he describes twelve great wines, the twelve apostles, and a mysterious thirteenth ideal wine called The Drops of God. To take possession of his inheritance, Shizuku will have to discover what wines they are in competition with his “brother” Issey Tomine, a young winemaker deemed adopted by his father a week before his death.
