In New York, USA William Koch, a powerful businessman of Energy, filed a lawsuit against Christie’s had sold bottles of rare wines in the 1980s that allegedly belonged to Thomas Jefferson, third U.S. president, says the Wall Street Journal. But it seems that these bottles are counterfeit. Indeed, the tycoon, had doubts after a valuation said the bottles are labeled with the same initials glass Th.J. Experts say these initials were carved with modern means and not through the tools of 1784 or 1787 vintages period in question. An anachronism is revealed by the expert glassmakers. Christie’s denies the accusations and announced that his innocence will be proved in court in New York.
